The basic material of the yarn comes from Bangdalesh and is washed and possibly dyed in Finland. All detergents and dyes used in the treatment are OEKO-TEX certified and the process has been made as environmentally friendly as possible.
These jute yarns (available in two different thicknesses) are soft and comfortable to crochet with and have an incredibly pleasant sheen. The natural material jute is 100% biological material and is extracted from corchorus plants, which grow in most tropical countries. You can crochet bags, accessories, rugs, etc. from jute using exactly the same instructions we already have on our website!
The size of the roll can vary about 10% (normal size 500g, equivalent to about 220 meters of yarn). Also, the color shades may vary slightly between different batches - therefore we recommend that you order everything you need for your project in the same order,

Note. Please note that jute is a natural material that may shed a little more than our cotton yarns.

Compared to other jute yarns I've tried in the past, this yarn was much more pliable and soft. It made it quick and easy to work with and the crescent rug was finished after a few evenings. Have already ordered more to make another rug!
